Baby Clothing
Most parents start off with a wealth of baby clothing thanks to grandparents and baby showers. They quickly learn however that not all the items are useful or appropriate for the season. Knowing what to have one hand ahead of time may mean some clothing can be exchanged for more useful items.
Most babies will start out in newborn sized baby clothing, but will grow out of it in a matter of weeks so there is no need for a bunch of newborn sized articles, six or seven footed pajamas or sleepers and six or seven one piece body suits should be more than adequate. Babies never stay in one size for long so strive to have just a few items in each size. Most children hit the three to six months size before they are actually three months old.
Another common problem with the wardrobe a baby accrues is the timing of the seasons. Sometimes it can be hard to determine if a child will fit in an article when the weather is appropriate for it. Warm fleece pajamas won’t be used in the summer and tiny shorts aren’t for wear in the winter. Buying clothing in regular cotton that can be layered in the winter or worn by itself in the summer will mean parents won’t have to try and count months and wonder how their child will grow.
